This morning at Virginia Tech there was a shooting in one of the dorms by an Asian male, who is still unidentified because of his later actions, and the school was not immediately put on lock down or closed. 2 hours later the gunman opened up fire again in a classroom on the other side of campus, when all the smoke was gone he had killed 32 students and himself. At about 1 today President Bush made a speech expressing his sorrow for the students
, I was surprised that it only later 3-5 minutes; I would have expected more as this was the largest shooting in US history. The other problem I have with this situation is how come the school wasn’t immediately shut down and the students in class notified, the Dean and chief of police said it was because they had the situation under control…that happened. I think they made a vital mistake that cost 31 families their sons or daughters; if the school or the police station was to be sued over this it would not surprise me at all…I would for their irresponsible actions.
