The Mormans Lash Out...Maybe Some Coffee Would Have Stopped This

I completely understand what the Brigham Young students are feeling, about how they don’t want someone to speak at their school that would cause controversy, because who wants to be told how to succeed by someone who committed crimes against the nation he represents. Last time I checked, however, Mormons practice “Learning to forgive and forget.” So why this circumstance is any different is beyond me; let Cheney speak at your school, for god sakes he is the Vice President of the United States…that’s got to count for something.

Where is the seperation between church and state? if the the moto is to forgive and forget, then why shouldnt cheney bealbe to speak? maybe the students who feel strong about thier views should set up a small group session to speak with cheney to let him know their views. change will not come without understanding. Learning and discussion will lead to a greater understand of both aspects of the subject. If the mormons resall believe that cheney has committed wrong doing, then as citizens of OUR contry they should speak thier views, if not, then maybe they should forgive and forget and let him speak...
