According To Bush: Tides Turning In Iraq...What A Suprise

According to President Bush’s most recent speech about the war in Iraq, he claims that sending more troops to Iraq is what is going to finally end this war and allow the military to send the remaining troops home for good…if only it was true. To send more troops to their death, in Iraq, will only bring down the US citizen support for Bush’s war in Iraq, not that it was very high anyways, but regardless of that no more lives should be lost fighting this never ending war. President Bush should be working on a time table for removing troops from Iraq, they are not fighting for the US any more but are in the middle of an Iraq civil war in which they are dying for no good cause. Even though I criticize President Bush’s plan to send more troops to Iraq, if this is what it’s going to take to end this war on Terrorism or Oil, I think that we should send in more troops. The fresh troops will not only revitalize the derailed military forces in Iraq, but they will also add a moral boost to the troops fighting there now, it will show them that what they are fighting for is still important and a major concern of the United States.

I think this quote by Bush summarizes everything that is going on with the Iraq war:

"It's natural to wish there was an easy way out, that we could just pack up and bring our troops home and be safe. Yet in Iraq, the easy road would be a road to disaster. The price of giving up there would be paid in American lives for years to come,"
