Rapper Weighs In on Imus Firing

Yes what Imus did was terrible and I agree with Snoop Dog on that, but I don’t believe that he should have been fired for his comments…because that’s all they were, comments protected under the first amendment in the constitution. I also agree that Imus has no right to make these comments ever, even if jokingly, because he is white and sadly to say those types of comments are reserved for black people; it’s the same with Mexicans and the word “beaner.” While I agree with Snoops comments who the hell is he to stand up for the rights of black women after all he does in his songs is bring them down and call them worse things than “nappy headed hoes.” We are supposed to listen to someone who just got charged with possession of a concealed weapon, and we are supposed to value his comments, there is something very wrong with our culture if that is true. Snoop dog should shut his mouth because he is no better than Imus, who should have just apologized and accepted the consequences given to him.
